Kia ora, I'm Sam MacKinnon.  Hailing from Wellington, NZ, I'm passionate about innovative businesses that take New Zealand to the world.

In mid-2019, I founded Knook, with a desire to share some of the incredible business stories from around the country.  In my day job, I’ve been exposed to some amazing innovation and approaches to business.  I felt that these great stories weren’t being told enough, and decided to do something about it.

I look to highlight a range of business stories from your favourite company, to an everyday product you may see but not know the story behind, to the next great business you don’t know about.  The strand that ties them together is innovation: in product development, in generating sales, in approaching new markets through export.
